The groundbreaking supersonic airliner Concorde is an aviation icon, instantly known and recognised around the globe, a marvel of engineering and at one time a frequent sight over the skies of Wiltshire.
And what better way to rediscover the grace and glamour of perhaps the most beautiful aircraft in history than this nostalgic presentation from celebrated Air Traffic controller Phil Holt?
At this talk we will learn… Where did the name Concorde come from? Why was Concorde retired? How much did Concorde cost? Will one ever fly again… these are just some of the questions Phil will answer.
The ingenuity and expertise from designers to the crews who flew her is rekindled and Phil will also recall the celebrities and the humour as he involves you in the Concorde experience!
About the Speaker
Air Traffic Controller & pilot Phil Holt has been on the speaking circuit for over 35 years. His easy style entertains, informs and amuses all types of audience. Phil can take his audience from the precision and thrill of the Red Arrows to the triumphs, tragedy and nostalgia of Donald Campbell. As an Air Traffic Controller, he talks with passion and humour of the job he did for nearly 40 years.
