The 1812 Boulton and Watt Beam Engine will be in steam on Sunday 29 August 2021
If you haven’t booked a ticket yet, please visit on Bank Holiday Monday 30 August 2021. Sunday 29 August is already heavily booked with few remaining tickets so entry cannot be guaranteed.
Please note that because of filming, closing times on Sunday 29 August 2021 are one hour earlier than on other steaming days.
- Site/Grounds 10 am to 3.30 pm
- Pumping Station 10.30 am to 3.30 pm (last entry at 2.30 pm)
- Car Park 10 am to 4 pm
There is a charge to enter the site on steaming days. We operate an on-line booking system with Art Tickets (from Art Fund, supporting museums and art galleries across the UK).
Guide price ‘standard’ adult £10.75 for (£12 with Gift Aid). Accompanied children under 16 are free. Discounts for Kennet and Avon Canal Trust Members and National Art Pass Holders.
Advance purchase of timed tickets to the site is recommended for Steaming Days.
Please remember that the café is closed, and that public access to the site is by the main gate only. No access from the lower canal entrance at lock 60. This helps our hard-working volunteers and staff regulate visitor numbers to the site and keep COVID safe.
