We are trialling the prototype of a brand new interpretation scheme of graphic panels and other story-telling techniques to tell Crofton’s story in a new, fresh and dynamic way.
We are holding six special days in August where people can come down to Crofton and view the new scheme, and provide feedback and comment on how the story is told.
We would like to welcome you to come and take a look at what we have been working on and visit the Boiler & Engine Houses under your own pace, letting us know what you think of the work so far and how it may possibly be amended or improved.
There are six of these special days, and we will be open between 10:30am and 16:30 each of the following dates:
Friday 9th August
Tuesday 13th August
Wednesday 14th August
Thursday 15th August
Wednesday 21st August
Thursday 22nd August
Our cafe and grounds will be open too, and volunteers and staff will be on hand to discuss the interpretation. Normal Non-Steaming Day ticket prices apply, and with a ticket you can come and go through the Engine and Boiler Houses as often as you like. Timed guided tours will be offered on all other dates as at present.
Hope to see you on one of the dates, and to get your feedback on the work so far!
