Next phase for return to steam

Lighting Crofton Beam Engines boiler for the first time since 2019. Although we are not currently steaming. This marks the next phase of Crofton Beam Engines returning to steam in 2021. The boiler is being slowly warmed up over the next couple of days ready for final inspections, and steam tests.

Then we can once again show this magnificent industrial heritage pumping station in steam for all our visitors to enjoy a time when Steam Was King!
