Late May Steaming Weekend & Model Exhibition
As well as our Late May Bank holiday Sunday and Monday steaming weekend at Crofton beam Engines, for the first time there will also be an exhibition of models and craftwork by Crofton volunteers.
Many of our volunteers have home workshops producing beautifully hand crafted models in metal and wood, of static and railway engines, trucks and even a barrel organ.
Not limited to steam power, these engines represent thousands of hours of careful research and construction. Featuring implementations of Stirling cycle heat engines as well as petrol power, wind and steam.
The exhibition will be held in the Side Boiler House and the makers will be there to talk to you about the models and their workshops.
