The 1812 Boulton and Watt Beam Engine will be in steam on Saturday 25 September 2021
Update: Steaming today (25 September 2021). Online booking now unavailable. The morning is fully booked, with limited availability after 12.30pm. Sunday morning (26 September) is busy, with few available places. Online booking is still open for Sunday, with more availability in the afternoon. So if you haven’t already booked a ticket, you may be able to pay at the gate in the afternoons. It depends on how busy the site gets.
There is a charge to enter the site on steaming days. We operate an on-line booking system with Art Tickets (from Art Fund, supporting museums and art galleries across the UK).
Guide price ‘standard’ adult £10.75 for (£12 with Gift Aid). Accompanied children under 16 are free. Discounts for Kennet and Avon Canal Trust Members and National Art Pass Holders.
Advance purchase of timed tickets to the site is recommended for Steaming Days.
Please remember that the café is closed, and that public access to the site is by the main gate only. No access from the lower canal entrance at lock 60. This helps our hard-working volunteers and staff regulate visitor numbers to the site and keep COVID safe.
